UGP Tour WAGR 2024-25

The second stop on the UGP Tour WAGR 2025-26 took place from the 7th to the 9th of November at the Parador de Málaga Golf, which was in excellent condition, allowing the players to give their best performance.

Friday dawned with a light breeze, but this did not prevent some very good results from being achieved. On the men’s side, two of the favourites, Raúl Gómez Montalva, a player from the Valencian federation, and Álvaro Trujillano, joined by Antonio Vidal, ended up conquering the course and signing rounds of 70 strokes.

On the women’s side, Chanya Huaysan stood out with a round of 69, putting her in contention for the title from the first day, followed by Luna Valencia from Murcia and Sara Moreno from UGP Málaga, who both carded rounds of 73.

On the second day, things changed, with the wind becoming the main adversary the players had to face, forcing them to play a game of constant struggle against adversity. Even so, Oliver de Wint from Málaga showed great skill in closing with a round of 71 strokes and taking the lead with just a one-stroke advantage over Raúl Gómez and José Manuel Fernández from UGP Málaga. Everything pointed to a battle for victory on the final day.

The girls also showed great determination in the face of tough playing conditions, with strong wind at times making the game really hard. After a tough day of patience, the two favourites were the ones who best adapted to the situation. Chanya Huasyan ended the day in the lead with a three-stroke advantage over Luna Valencia, and these two players would battle it out for victory on Sunday.

On the third day, the wind let up and once again the players displayed extraordinary skill, treating spectators to some high-quality shots.

In the men’s competition, the suspense lasted until the very last putt, with Oliver de Wint having to putt from 1 metre to sign a round of 68 and take the victory ahead of Raúl Gómez, who also delivered an extraordinary 68 that kept him in contention until the end.

In the women’s competition, Chanya Huaysan kept her calm in difficult moments and managed to maintain her 3-stroke lead to take the victory. Luna Valencia, despite carding a par for the course, was unable to overcome Chanya’s solid performance, finishing in second place this time.

Congratulations to the champions for their great play!

The next event on the UGP Tour WAGR will take place at the wonderful Montecastillo course in Jerez de la Frontera from 12 to 14 December. We look forward to seeing you all there!
