UGPM invited to the annual R&A Foundation Scholars Tournament

Malaga, 03rd April 2018 – This week takes place the annual R&A Foundation Scholars Tournament in St Andrews, Edinburgh. Contested over 54 holes at the Eden and Old Courses, the two-day World Amateur Golf RankingTM counting tournament features 60 men and women students representing 20 universities from across the world including Cardiff, Durham, Malaga, Pretoria, St Andrews and Ulster. The tournaments are taking place on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd, April 2018

The student golfers invited receive funding from The R&A to help with progressing their golf while studying at college or university and are invited each year to compete against their fellow students. That is the case of Andrea Gobbato, UGPM player

The R&A is the ruling authority of golf throughout the world (except for the United States of America) and supports our institution as part of its actions to develop college golf in Europe

We have been the first college golf program outside the UK to be included in its Golf Development Program
