The R&A of St. Andrews, the highest authority in the European golf, has decided to include UGPM within its Golf Development program, given our focus on encouraging college golf in Europe.
This R&A support has two axis of the work: on one side, by providing direct financial support to our programme, and on the other hand, by establishing a scholarships programme for high level players who want to be part of the UGPM team. More specifically, five of our students have been awarded with scholarships for a total amount in excess of 5,000 pounds.
Until 2014, the scholarships were granted to universities located in UK and Ireland. We feel very proud for the recognition and the trust deposited by the R&A in us. Additionally, the award highlights the recognition of UGPM in developping college golf and our international scope.
